President’s Message

Welcome to Hengkapkot University

Warm greetings to you and I really appreciate for your interest in this project (Hengkapkot University). The vision to create this university comes with a distinctive mission: pioneering quality instruction, research, and service to society. To establish this aspiring university from scratch will both be exciting and challenging, especially since North East India been neglected and left remote since long.

In my career and ministry work spanning over two decades, I have had the privilege of working with the least fortunate society in and around North East India States irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. Having experienced their need first hand, I couldn’t think of other than establishing University that would accommodate courses in enhancing their social economic status. I am confident that with true zeal and passion Hengkapkot University will be able to make its dreams and aspirations a reality.

As you will see in this document, the university will introduce and successfully implemented infrastructure and program initiatives unprecedented in the region. Keeping in mind to achieve remarkable success will no doubt be due to the unwavering commitment and hard work of our future talented faculty, productive staff all in place. It is noteworthy that all of our three Advisory boards are distinct at their own respective fields. They have lengthy professional experience under their belt, both in the developed world and in the region.

Hengkapkot University as it plans in the near future to introduce several higher studies and technical programs as well as to further develop and consolidate its research and services productivity, capacity, and culture. I continue to have unshakable confidence that the success of these endeavors will be made possible by the deep commitment and tireless efforts of the remarkable people at HU and its generous donors. My utmost appreciation and gratitude go to our friends, partners, and donors for their relentless and vital support.

In line with Hengkapkot University’s motto of “The Oasis of love”, I see the light at the end of the tunnel and a bright future for HU and for the region. I invite you to join us and be part of this history in the making!
